Last week a few of us “Mamas” were lucky enough to head down to High Point, North Carolina for some Annie Sloan training. One word sums it up AMAZING!!
We learned so much! Here are Terrie and MJ arriving. Yep, that is me in the shadow there.
The studio was beautiful. Inspiration everywhere you turned!
Isn’t that a beauty!
Every color combination you can think of there.
This was the floor done in Graphite and Old White with stencils. I loved this saying- so true!
We learned so much from our wonderful instructor Barb (she’s camera shy so no pics of this little lady). Talk about one talented lady!! We learned about the history of Annie Sloan, painting with wet wax, wet sanding and so many more things. We are so excited to share all of this with you.
Carol hard at work.
My new best friend- wait til you hear more about that.
FUN FUN FUN!
We were even lucky enough to come back the next day and learn how to make floor mats before our flight left.
MJ taping off her corners of her new floor cloth. I see a new class being offered here……
Terrie working hard on her pattern. Stencils and Chalk Paint®- can’t get any better.
Love this. This was done by our new friend Terry from North Carolina.
Thanks to High Point for having us. Did you know it is the furniture capital of the world? Here I am- see that little person standing there- that is me- all 5ft of me next to the gigantic dresser and Paul Bunyan’s socks. They have these huge pieces of furniture all over the city. You are driving down the road and think – ok did I just see a huge dresser over there??? Yes, you did!
It was a wonderful time had by all. New friendships made, new techniques learned and we can’t wait to share it with you. Keep an eye out for a few new classes. Chalk Paint 201 Finishing Touches and Floor Cloth Painting- coming to a Mama’s Happy near you. Check out our website at www.mamashappy.com/workshops to register and find out more info.
Who’s ready to join us?
