Ahh, springtime…. the grass is turning green, plants are starting to push through the dirt, leaves are budding out on the trees (my fellow allergy-ridden readers are sneezing with me)…. and Ki and her team have brought Junk Bonanza back to Canterbury Park in Shakopee!!! If you didn’t know, Junk Bonanza is an annual spring (and fall) event founded by Ki Nassauer and is now held in multiple cities across the country. We’d like to think that good old MN is her favorite, but you’d have to ask her. Warm and sunny CA might win out in the colder months. If you’re a junk-lover (and we know you are), Junk Bonanza is a sight to behold. There will be over 120 vendors there this week and Mama’s Happy is right in the middle of the action. We’ve got 3 booths all side-by-side that are filled to the brim with goodies from each of our 3 stores. And if that’s not enough, we’ve partnered with Annie Sloan Unfolded and will be hosting paint workshops throughout the event right across the way from our booth. So be sure to stop by and sign up for a free workshop!
Here’s where you’ll find us:
Junk Bonanza is April 16, 17 and 18 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. Don’t worry, it’s all indoors, so if it does happen to rain, we’re all good. Thursday’s hours are 10-5 and Friday and Saturday is 9-5. So come on out and say hi and take it all in. Insider tip: be sure to stop and grab a bloody mary while you shop…it’s a salad in a glass…or something like that! Admission is $10 at the door and parking is free and abundant. Check out JunkBonanza.com for more details.
We know you’re wondering what we’re bringing, so here’s a sneak peek of what is set up thus far. The Mamas are still putting final touches on the booths and inventory is sure to change each day because this stuff will be flying out the door. We can’t wait to see you in Shakopee!
