“Tickets to the ball game $43. Food at the game $54 and memories from that day PRICELESS. “
We all know that commercial. It is a good one and for me that is exactly what I think of color mixing with Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan. You can get that custom color you are looking for just by mixing a couple of colors together. You can transform a piece from ho-hum to PRICELESS with a bit of color.
Resident Mama, Pam Metcalf, did just that on a few of her recent pieces and can I just say- WOW!!
This table with a marble top is a custom blend of 1 part English Yellow & 1 part Arles. Country Gray & Pure White were painted on the accents then the piece was finished with Clear Wax.
Olive was the base color for this cute desk with a coat of Versailles over the top with a bit of a rub to expose Olive. The drawers were done in a custom blend of 10 parts Provence to 4 parts Paris Gray. The accents are painted in Old Ochre. The whole piece was then finished with Clear Wax.
I’m off to try some color mixing of my own. I am looking for a celery green color so I’m thinking a bit of Duck Egg and English Yellow.
What color are you going to mix up?
